Problem with uploading avators

In my profile when it says upload pic through forum profile. I click on it and it brings be back to the same page I was on in my profile. I scroll all the way down and there's nothing to upload or link my pic to. I need help on this. Everyone has a pic and I want one.

Okay, when you click on Upload, it should actually say something new at the top (telling you why your Avatar didn't work). It's because of either two reasons: Your Avatar is too large in pixels, or it's too large in filesize. Your Avatar image has to confine to these two rules:

~ It has to be 140x140 pixels or smaller and
~ It has to be under 50KB in filesize, for loading reasons.

Check and adjust your Avatar image to confine to those rules, and it should work!

Thanks but that really wasn't my problem. My problem is I can't at all change my avator. I'll try it again.

I'm having a hard time changing my avatar, as well. At the top of my screen it reads, "File type must be .jpg, .gif, or .png".
