What kinda of ways do you guys struggle with having AS? For me I feel like I have to change because it's the only way I can get through my struggles. But so love who I am and I love having AS. And I don't want to give it up. Granted, I know I'll always be an aspie but it'll be hidden. Or is it all in vain? Should so try a different approach to getting around my struggles?

The loneliness and ineffective communication. We're mammals and we need to socialize too.

PLEASE hook up with an autism support group. If there is not one in your area, start one. If you can't do that, hook up with a depression support group. My youngest son must have begged me a thousand times to kill him.[ looking at your screen name] And I must have begged him a thousand times to give himself a chance to live. You are so young. Please, there is support out there, find it and LIVE!

Well, being an Aspie myself, with the rather unlucky combo of being Asian and in a harsh culture, giving up is never a route you should go for. Honestly, ideals, likes, dislikes, and skills change as you age so there's really nothing quite wrong with switching it up every now and then. I would re-write that definition of "I have to change to something a little more positive like "I'll evolve and conquer!" Just don't think of change as a death sentence, think of it as unlocking possibility and potential. I personally believe everyone has the key to happiness somewhere deep down in their hearts, but it's up to them to find that key and open the gates.

Story of my life right now... I just feel that this current lifestyle of mine isn't doing me any favors, so I just feel that I should change it all for the better.

I don't hate being on the spectrum, though...
