Can anyone here recommend some biographies written by people on the spectrum who aren't savants or geniuses turned successful public figures? I'm looking for someone to talk about their experiences and struggles, especially the sensory/independence component of things, but the books I'm most aware of are all kind of the same and don't always resonate with me. Thanks.

I enjoyed his book "Be Different."

"Pretending to be Normal" by Liane Holliday Willey is a really good one. "Born on the Wrong Planet" Erika Hammerschmidt is fairly good too. They are both autobiographies of women with Aspergers.

sorry for stating an obvious one but; thinking in pictures by temple grandin,it also goes into depth about the whole autism spectrum as well.
temple is a high functioning classic autistic but most aspies relate to her,as can those of us with classic autism or PDDNOS.
