I have been musing on the fact that I have next to no friends. But I am not lamenting. Just analyzing. I find that I have no patience with people, (although I try to hide this) when time and time again, they reveal themselves to be either stupid, dull, or just plain DUMB. I find myself having to "dumb" down my vocabulary, just to keep a conversation going. It gets tiresome. I am neither proud of this, nor unduly aggravated at them. Life can get pretty dull, though, when you have that rare urge to be social, and have to sift through so many in order to find kindred souls. Just a thought. Any one else feel this way?

Yep.
I want to be able to talk to friends about everything from machines to disease in field-specific language. I'm sick of listening to "It was like this thing, ya know?"

I've been in that situation before, but I am more comfortable now.

Well Missy, you can teach a pig to dance, but he will never be good at it, and it annoys the pig.

I rarely have friends for that long. I've had a few for a while now, wondering when it will end. It's showing signs, I wish it wasn't but it is. I don't think it's anything I did but people change over the years.

Yeah, I used to get worried or upset when people "grew" away from me, but now I realize that its just the way life is.
