Anxiety from obsessions?

Does anyone ever get anxiety from their obsessions? I was just curious because this happens to me a lot.

I do. I always worry about how I'm not going to play my games or how to play them in order, what time of the day to play them, what date to play them on, etc. It drives me mental.

I worry more about my obsessions fading out after getting into them. D: It drives me nuts because it does happen to me a lot.

For me, it stresses me out a lot if I am for some reason unable to pursue them. One of my main obsessions is singing, but I often can't sing because I am around others and it would bother them, which I hate. It also really irritates me when I have a sore throat or something that makes it difficult to sing. Same goes with pretty much anything else that I get obsessed with, though those things may stop being interests at that point.

Yes, the anxiety I get is not only when unable to pursue them, but also because I feel like I never have enough information on said obsessions. I panic if I don't learn something new at least every couple days, which happens quite a bit.

I definitely relate to that. I get anxious if I feel like I don't have a good enough understanding or knowledge on the subject. Which is why I try very hard to build a solid foundation in it. sometimes it's very overwhelming though because it feels like there is too much information with no logical place to start.

Well, I find it hard to stay obsessed with things for very long. The only obsession I can remember that's last for at least a few months was my obsession with Loki/Tom Hiddleston. That was just after seeing Thor: The Dark World. There was also my obsession with Doctor Who, but that didn't last all that long for me. Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and everything... I've just been so routinely busy that I haven't had time to catch up on the most recent episode.

However, I realized that after being obsessed with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic for a while, that I'm starting to lose interest kind of slowly now. I still haven't even finished the fourth season yet either. I feel kind of bad because I'm in the fandom for it (forum-wise) and everyone knows more about than I do. So, maybe that's why it's overwhelming me so much.

I forgot, I used to be extremely into video games particularly from Nintendo, as well as their previous systems and what their newest systems would be, the specifications of them, even some of the history of Nintendo. That was my main obsession before I turned 15, but even after I remained pretty interested in it.

But then at college, I had multiple roommates, one who was only 16, who knew tons more about Nintendo systems, games, random facts etc. to the point that half the time I had no clue of the stuff they were talking about. I also got beaten in many games that nobody ever beat me at before. So at that point I felt like I was just too behind then and it made me frustrated, so I almost totally lost interest since. It makes me kind of sad, since it was so important to me as a kid, but now my 3DS just sits untouched as I have almost no desire to play it anymore.

I get a LOT of anxiety from my obsessions. I don't even know how to describe it just that it wells up in me and I get super anxious when I want to like really get into my special interest.
