i am not afraid of clowns now.

but when i was younger, they did used to frighten me.

now they just make me uneasy
(in the same way a drunk person might make you uneasy ... probably because they both can be very unpredictable)

funny ..... you wouldn't pay a drunk to come round your house for your kids birthday party now, would you ?!

I'm not afraid of clowns, but I can't stand some elves. I didn't have that problem when I was younger. It just came withen the last year or two.

Clowns are frackin' creepy man. They make my skin crawl with disgust, but not fear.

I was never afraid of clowns, and I'm not afraid now. I think it depends on how they act. Clowns who are good at their jobs can be funny; those who aren't good are creepy, but not scary.

Clowns don't scare me, but they sure as hell piss me off.

I've hated clowns ever since I saw The Poltergeist.
Great movie, though.

No, I never got that fear because I never watched It as a child. They are sort of annoying though.

Clowns are creepy. Which was their original purpose, incidentally.

I have never been anything other than freaked out by them, ever since I was a boy.

Very. I never liked them. But when I was five, my mom was out shopping and my dad forced me to watch It. It made me so scared that i remember hinding in a corner of my room with my spaghetti o's and crying. me made me go back and finish watching. an the a couple years ago me, my brother, and my dad were in hollywood. it was getting dark, when out of nowhere, this clown comes out of an alleyway, leans upagainst the wall with one foot, and honks his nose at me!! !! !

I don't know if this counts, but when I was about three, my mom took me to see Santa Claus. She tells me that I had a screaming fit, and wouldn't go anywhere near him, being :) terrified.

I think they're creepy. That makeup makes their teeth look yellow. They're also loud and obnoxious. When you see a clown in movies or on television, they're usually drunk. Drunk people give me the creeps.
