Schizophrenia Proneness Instrument, my results
Here is the Schizophrenia Proneness Instrument, Adult Version (SPI-A):

Here is a table of the different subjective basic symptoms that are on it that describe them and give examples:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By6Guo ... sp=sharing
This mentions the importance of both the COPER and the COGDIS on the SPI-A for predicting onset of psychosis:

Here are my results:
0-6 score refers to severity in last 3 months.
7 score refers to trait-like symptom that has been present in same severity
8 definitely present, but severity unknown
9 questionably met
1. Inability to divide attention: I've never had difficulty with performing simultaneous tasks like this (like I can listen to music and drive), so my score would be a 0.
score: 0
2. Disturbance of expressive speech: I've had some mild difficulties with this over the years, making myself understood, but I've noticed no recent change. Nevertheless, I often reminisce old conversations and find points that I could have said, but just did not come to mind, so I've had consistent severity over the years.
score: 7
3. Disturbances of abstract thinking: I've always had good abstract thinking, so my score would be a 0.
score: 0
4. Captivation of attention by details of the visual field: I've had this for as long as I remember. For some reason, some detail, or object will stand out, and I will become preoccupied with looking at it, I will want to touch it and cover it up to remove the disturbance. It's been present for a long time and hasn't seem to have gotten worse, so my score would be a 7.
score: 7
5. Thought interference: I have had occasional moments where unrelated thoughts butt in that aren't very important, but they have not caused severe difficulty to my thinking, so the score would be low.
score: 2
6. Thought blockages: I've always had these, and they don't seem to be getting worse. It's usually when I'm working on the computer: I'll forget what I'm doing totally, even if I had just been concentrating on it, and have to get a reminder; in conversation, I will sometimes forget the thread of the conversation and try to make up for it as best as I can.
score: 7
7. Disturbance of receptive speech: I seem to have a harder time than normal comprehending what people say to me. Sometimes, I will just hear a bunch of sounds. Nevertheless, the severity has been constant.
score: 7
8. Thought pressure: Sometimes I'll be overloaded with thoughts lately, but I'm not sure if they're unrelated or not.
score: 9
9. Unstable ideas of reference: I have not had these in the past 3 months.
score: 0
10. Thought perseveration: I've had this for a long time, and it's gotten much worse in the past 3 months. I often will repeat the same thoughts in my head over and over again.
score: 5
11. Decreased ability to discriminate between ideas and true memories, etc.: This has gotten somewhat worse lately, as I often dream about things that happen in real life, which afterwards leaves me wondering if I only dreamed it or I actually said it, or it actually happened. It has not been too impairing, however.
score: 2
12. Derealization: This has gotten somewhat worse lately.
score: 3
13. Visual perceptual disturbances: I have long had changed perceptions of my own face, even before starting hormones, but they have not gotten worse, but I do notice I maintain visual stimuli more lately.
score: 2
14. Acoustic perceptual disturbances: I've long had problems with noisy places, but the problem has gotten worse in the past year, driving me out of work. Also, I've been noticing unexplained banging lately (which would fall under acoasms, non-verbal auditory hallucinations). Why, just yesterday evening, I heard 2 loud taps that seemed to come from the door, but when I looked out, I could see nothing.
score: 6
So now we look at the COPER (cognitive-perceptual basic symptoms):
1. Have at least 1 of the symptoms 5-14 been reported?
answer: yes
2. If 'Yes' to 1, has any of these symptoms first occurred more than 12 months ago. Symptoms 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14.
answer: yes
3. If 'Yes' to 1 and 2, are any of the symptoms with first occurrence more than 12 months ago scored '3-6'? Symptoms 10, 12, and 14.
answer: yes
4. 'Yes' to 1, 2, and 3? COPER criteria met.
answer: yes
So I meet the criteria for cognitive-perceptual basic symptoms, which the article says is predictive of onset of psychosis.
Now we look at the COGDIS (cognitive disturbances):
1. Have at least 2 of the symptoms 1-9 been reported?
answer: yes
2. If 'Yes' to 1, are at least 2 of these symptoms scored '3-6'?
answer: no
3. 'Yes' to 1 and 2? COGDIS criteria met.
answer: no
I do not meet the criteria for cognitive disturbances.
Nevertheless, it is still noteworthy that I meet the criteria for COPER and I wonder what this will mean for my mental state in the future.
