I can't say I'm overly surprised by this recent development.

Having said that, it's not about whether or not Zimmerman killing Martin was defensive or offensive but arriving at a just verdict based on evidence and testimony presented to the jury. The prosecution in that case did not have much to work with and did not do very well with what they did have. The defense did a better job of getting all of their ducks in a row and came off as being generally more competent. Based on what the jury had to work with, anything other than an acquittal would have been hard to honestly arrive at. That's just the justice system doing what we're supposed to want it to do.

For all practical purposes, what Zimmerman has done since then is irrelevant to the Zimmerman/Martin case.

Once an idiot always an idiot. Zimmerman is a scumbag through and through, this doesn't surprise me that he tried to hurt another person again. Wasn't he arrested last year for trying to kill his wife or something?

You defended yourself from a thug Zimmerman... doesn't mean you can go around breaking the law afterward though.
Instead of a rocket launch being on our local news front page it's you... again by a media obsessed with you.

Next time he does that I hope someone throws a wine bottle at Zimmerman's head so hard it smashes into a million pieces.

Hey, sometimes women need bottles thrown at them.

Just saying.

Really? Sometimes a person needs to think twice before posting something which might be taken as misogynistic/sexist.

Sometimes moderators need to stop grinding their own axe, and not consider one statement worse because it says "women" rather than "people".

Regardless if you think George Zimmerman was acting in self defense or had committed murder in the Trayvon Martin shooting, the fact remains, Zimmerman is still a disturbed individual with anger issues. Either he gets sent up for this, or things are going to escalate and he'll eventually kill someone else.

Consider this a public warning - one more such comment and you'll be gone for two weeks.

I have a problem with people wanting to throw bottles at people, be it men or women. In this context it were women. Were it a man he wanted to throw a bottle at, I'd still have a problem with that.

Quote:
Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has had several brushes with the law:

— He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief after his then-girlfriend said he pointed a gun at her face during an argument, smashed her coffee table and pushed her out of the house they shared. Samantha Scheibe decided not to cooperate with detectives and prosecutors didn't pursue the case.

— Zimmerman was accused by his estranged wife of smashing an iPad during an argument at the home they had shared. Shellie Zimmerman initially told a dispatcher her husband had a gun, though she later said he was unarmed. No charges were ever filed because of a lack of evidence. The dispute occurred days after Shellie Zimmerman filed divorce papers.

— Zimmerman has also been pulled over three times for traffic violations since his acquittal.

This latest bottle throwing incident seems innocuous, I suppose. Still though, something's amiss. He needs counselling I think.

Part of it is that he thinks he needs to extend his fifteen minutes.
