What's a good way to get people to read your threads?

I'm a bit stuck because there's a thread I have in Role playing which is a Create-an-adventure type of story, but the thing is that there isn't enough people replying/voting and whatnot to make it interesting (other than LadyCass and Graelwyn). So how do I get other users to vote and make suggestions in the thread, or at least acknowledge that it exists?

Post a link to it in your signature...that way it is seen everytime you post...and just indicate what the link is...make it sound exciting... not that it isn't anyway! I would post more, but I am in a very sort of depressed state of mind where I cannot read long chunks of text.

I think the link in the sig one is a good idea, although I've noticed that I don't really notice sigs unless there's a MAJOR change in it from the last one.
