Is this only just on, this ad for Firefox at the top of every WP page?

I'm not getting any, but that's probably because I'm already using Firefox!

I do not get the ad with Opera either but I just checked in IE and got it. I guess it did
not mention Opera becauses it kicks Firefox's butt. :)

that only shows up if you are using internet explorer. you won't get it for safari or opera, for example. And it's not an ad. it's a public service alert I put there so people will know if they're running an insecure browser. most people don't realize how dangerous it is to surf the internet with internet explorer.

if you upgrade to a secure browser, you won't get that message.

I am NOT getting FireFox. This isn't my computer, so I can't get it.

Given the trouble that I'm having with IE7 on this site, I'm considering changing, but I've gotten close to maxing out my memory, so it'll be a pain.

I use IE on this site, and it works fine (so do most other sites people claim are not "IE-compatible"). I find the ad quite annoying as well, at least tone down the color or make it only visible on the front page or something.

Most web developers test for IE so most sites will work fine with IE. But there are other issue like Microsoft rarely updates IE critical flaws.

I have known so many people swear by Firefox...is it really that great? Are there any cons?
