So I'm back to work after having been off for a year due to anxiety and depression. It is two 6 hour shifts on weekends, but the company is in transition and a full time position may become available.
I enjoy the job. And I feel I will take full time if offered.
But I am terrified. There's only so much of the real world that I can take.

So, did anyone go back to work after having been off for some time? How did it go?

You seem to enjoy this.

As a friend, I hope you are able to continue this. It's good for your health, over all.

Thanks!

Regarding your avatar, who is this guy? Does he know he's an avatar?

My present avatar is me five years ago. I haven't changed much since--maybe a few pounds heavier.

I have often been terrified by change at work, but it usually works out, somehow.

The worst day that I can remember is the day I had to quit a job at an ad agency because it was too horrible.

But most of the time, with the help of anti-acids and anti-diarrhea meds, I can get through the initial anxiety and stress and then show some of the technical stuff I can do and then it goes from unbearable to merely tense and fraught.

Congratulations on your new job! I hope everything goes well and you get through the tough days when it's all new.

Remember that you don't have to take a full time position, but if you do I'm sure you'll be able to manage :)

I take anti-depressants/psychotics to cope. So I can get through the bad moments. Sometimes I am terrified.
