They are piece of sh!t computers, Heres why?

1. They make a Pentium ! !! computer @ 600Mhz run like a Pentium @ 150Mhz because of hardware incompatibilities with the power supply that runs
at half the power of an ATX.
2.They have the laziest customer support ever!! !! !
[My friend Wasted $40 on Memory he didn`t need because it was the wrong type./ There a difference between SDRAM and DDR.]
3. The cd-drives on them only last a year.
4. You can`t replace those crappy, intel video cards with something real like a Nivida or ATI because there is no damn port for one!! !! !! !! !! !

Then build your own next time you want a new PC.

You don't even have to build your own, just get one from a better company. Compaq and eMachine are the two computer companies known for making low-quality computers, for the purpose of selling the cheapest computers on the market. I'd recommend a Dell, Gateway, or Intel machine, though they cost more than Compaq, their performance is exponentially better.

I have not had any bad luck with either gateway (lasted 7 years!! !) or emachines! Even though they are both owned by the same guy, they have very good quality. eMachines uses not the best but close to the best parts (a step above compaq who uses generic but charges regular price for them) and their prices are the best out there, even of dell! check them out at e4me.com
also you can't buy directly from the site, unless in chat, you need to go to the store and buy it. (you get a much better deal there)

Dell is pretty craptacular too.
