I am sure that if we put our heads together we could come up with some epic poetry to rival Beowulf

Rules

1. Rhyming pattern is ABAB CDCD etc
2. Contribute only one line per post
3. You are not allowed to post two times without an intervening post by another user
4. You must read at least the previous eight posts before posting

I'll start:

Our hero walks onto the stage,

Knowing not what is to come,

Fuming with impotent rage,

That everyone should be so dumb.
