Preordered the game and the Season Pass on my Xbox One.

Taking a week off work starting November 10 to really sink my teeth into it. This will be an awesome staycation.

I could answer that, but I'm pretty sure you didn't actually want to know ;)

I'm not looking forward to it in the slightest. I played "Fallout 3" and "New Vegas" and before I knew it I was bored with both of them. I don't expect this new one to be any different.

It's about one week to go now until release.

It will be buggy as heck as always with Bethesda games.

But it will be the only half-decent game out now that has leveling progression and sufficient RPG elements to stimulate my completionist/OCD/stimming so I'm going to buy it on release day.

Shame about the voiced protagonist, it ruins immersion and roleplay for me.

But it's the only game this year I'm looking forward to somewhat.

Yes, the sensible thing is to wait for the inevitable GOTY, and at that point there will be updates to fix some of the bugs and community made mods to cover for bethesdas laziness.

Game is probably closer to actual value in price too at that point, as it probably has dropped a bit.

But I'm buying it day one because I have no other games to look forward to this year.

meh

I'll get it on sale later, still haven't finished the others. They are on my very long to play list but I am quoting you cause I agree with the GOTY statement. I'll pick up the complete, GOTY, ultimate version but I am not looking forward to it per say. Over rated games can be good but not worth $50-$60, thats not to say fallout is bad but all good series are a bit over rated really.

I don't think they're lazy, I think they just have a lot of inept programmers.

I'm sure it also doesn't help when you have such a huge (in scope) game, that requires lots of code, and lots of programmers...you have no idea how difficult it is to try to interpret someone else's code until you're in that position: trying to figure out what it does, how they planned out the algorithm, what they actually intended the code to do, and finally, where they went wrong. Sometimes it's much easier to just scrap everything they did and re-write it yourself >_<

It's getting being released on the same day as the Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void expansion and more looking forward to that actually to honest. I've never played a Fallout game before so, I've never been a fan of the series.

Before buying it I'm going to wait a few months until I can afford a new monitor, plus might be buying a new graphics card around that time too, for the oculus rift.

My current monitor is 5+ years old, super faded, I game at a glorious 1440x900 :p

Should be worth it with the mods that will be out by then.

To be honest I can't see myself playing another Bethesda Fallout. Maybe when it ends up on sale in a year or two. They have a special talent for writing the worst dialog I've ever seen in a game and after the stunning quality of The Witcher 3 I can't see myself playing another janky mess. Maybe I'll replay New Vegas though!

no. they are using the same old recycled voice actors and the engine is way too similar to the gamebryo engine.
