When I used to visit here before, after about a day there would be so many pages to go through. Say, thirty plus.

These days, about five.

Yeah, unfortunately it has slowed down. There were times in the past that threads in GAD got to page 2 and 3 in a day, but these days the last post in the threads on page 1 always span at least 2 dates, sometimes more. At times it was so crazy busy it almost felt like too much. I miss those days now. It's worrying.

People don't post on forums or interact with strangers the same way they use to with the rise of social media, this site has been around quite awhile and I don't think there was any other like it when it was created.

Most of the young'uns have moved on to social media.

The times....they are a-changing. Personally, I'll be here as long as this forum needs me, but nothing golden can stay.

It's so sad that social media has become the go-to for people now. I much prefer forums, and I don't want to see them go anytime soon. I don't get what people like better about social media.

Social media requires short immediate responses. It is probably better for NT's or just people who like to multitask.

I agree completely, Grammar Geek and ASPOM.
Social media can never replace forums. I know there are aspie groups on FB, but they're just one long wall with everything in an unorganized mess. Meh. You can't really talk or discuss topics there. It's no substitute for the layout of a forum!

Since unlike Alex a drop in popularity of WP does not affect me financially and with my executive function disorders the drop in the amount of posts for me is a good thing.
