If you guys elect this dufus, I'll lose all respect for Americans. He is a classless buffoon. He knows nothing about politics. His popularity is frightening. He appeals to the most base instincts and his proposals are ridiculous. Build a wall, bomb them, register Islamic people. These are kindergarten solutions that history has shown to be destructive.

And why is a woman going to the bathroom any more disgusting than anyone going to the bathroom? He sickens me only slightly less than his supporters do.

It would be a national embarrassment if Trump got elected, but it won't happen. There is no way he could carry enough of the the independent and moderate voters in the U.S. to win.

I'm constantly amazed at some of the reasoning being thrown around as to why people support him.

"He's not afraid to speak his mind and say unpopular things!"

Yeah, so do drunks! But that doesn't make them qualified to be POTUS.

Exactly.
Any fool can speak his mind. Why this is something that is valued by his supporters is a mystery to me.

Ted Cruz is about as frightening as Trump. Those evangelical Christian candidates scare the s**t out of me! They want to turn the U.S. into a theocracy. They need to be utterly stamped out!

2. So what if you lose all respect for us for any reason. What value do you think your respect has?

Yeah well we went through this same drill in 2011-12 with Bachman, Santorum, Palin, and a few others. No matter what they said or did it would precipitate at least one lengthy thread on this forum.

People like him are dangerous when they're put in power.

And the scary thing is that he might actually win.

Because if it's Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, some people are going to be biased towards Hillary because she's a Clinton and Donald Trump will appeal to the masses.
