Bizarre Logic In Pokemon [The Game]

Basically, just post any instances of weird or insane logic in the Pokemon games/anime! Have fun!

Team Rocket (Jessie & James) haven't been fired yet.

Pikachu's attacks have been shown to affect ground type Pokemon, but electrical attacks can NEVER harm ground types.

The player character can't change which Pokemon he/she's sending out before a battle, so you can end up facing a legendary with a Lv. 1 Pichu if you forgot to switch them beforehand!

Pikachu once zapped another Rhydon inside its mouth. That makes more sense.

Brock was somehow able to enter a Fighting Pokemon tournament with his Rock/Ground Geodude. Not to mention, Rock Pokemon are weak against Fighting Pokemon.

Oh, and they STILL don't know what's in the GS ball.

The fact that Geodude was even allowed into the tournament in the first place always bothered me, even when I was young.
I don't think we'll ever find out what's in the GS ball, since it was supposed to be a Celebi.

And then they released the fourth movie.

Why exactly is Gyarados a Flying type? It makes it the perfect Pokemon against Ground types, but it doesn't fly at all.

It's actually based on a Chinese Lung [dragon], which can fly without wings and some of them have water attributes.

Wait, it can? I never knew that. Hmm...My Gyarados in Omega Ruby knows Crunch, Ice Fang, Surf, and Dive, but I don't want to track down the Move Deleter just to dive underwater again.
There's always a big patch of grass outside of the main chracter's town. Did he or she never in their life want to explore outside of their town?

It can learn fly?

In episode 13, Oak tells Ash Gary has caught 45 Pokemon, then in episode 25, he tells him Gary's got 30 Pokemon.

Bulbasaur using Whirlwind?

^ WTF? I looked it up and it doesn't show for Gen 3...
Why? I thought I taught it Fly once...

In the Anime, Bulbasaur was someone able to use it just from his mouth.

How can a bike cost a million in Pokémon Dollar, especially as stones with fantastic powers only cost a few thousand?
