Thank you for posting that. The lack of recognition is almost total for this group, little support and no dedicated services whatsoever that I know of here. Autism NZ did have a very capable woman who set up a support group
for adult women (of all age cohorts) and she did a great job, though when she left they didn't fill the vacancy and that was the end of any formalised initiative from them. There is a peer support group called ASK though (stands for Austistic Spectrum Kiwis) which is still going as far as I know and an excellent blog by one of their members called StrangerinGodzone. Possibly even these scraps are more than there for older ASD women is in much larger countries I suspect, though I will be delighted to be proved wrong on that. In Australia I think Donna Williams and others are more active perhaps in respect of this overlooked section of the ASD population.
