Working on a autism website

And do you have ideas on what type of content you want?

I would go to the Mayo Clinic's website, and research THEIR definition of autism.

And webmd, don't use wikipedia or anything like that. Also don't use websites that only talk about autism as sources, use their sources instead. You'll have a more solid source if you do and keep your information current. Aspegers isn't a diagnosis anymore, don't reference it if the purpose is education.

Do those things and I might care enough to actually visit your site because it would stand out against the typical crap hosted in peoples living rooms spewing whatever crap can be found on the internet about autism.

Any website that presents autism as a disease is to be avoided as source material, especially if they also go on about finding a cure.

Autism is not a disease; it is a collection of traits and behaviors with no known genetic, viral, or bacterial cause; it is not contagious - thus it is NOT a disease.

aspergers is in the ICD it is until 2018.

Well than I stand corrected but whats the ICD? Is that different from the DSM?

Yes it is what is used in alot of places including the UK.

The ICD is produced by the World Health Organization and is the diagnostic manual preferred by European doctors. The DSM is preferred by American doctors. (I'm not sure what is preferred outside those two groups)
