Actually.

Starcraft is still being made.

Can usually find it in a pack with its expansion.

Do people not use Google?

Starcraft demo: www.blizzard.com/starcraft/scdemo.shtml

Decent game, but I preferred Total Annihilation. Then again, I only play single-player and prefer TBS games anyway (ie. Jagged Alliance, Civilisation, Master of Orion, Advance Wars). The gameplay available in the TBS genre seems more diverse to me. In RTS you almost invariably just defend, defend, defend whilst gaining enough resources to finally go down and smack the enemy base.

But games like Rise of Nations,Empire Earth, etc its in REAL TIME,because with TBS'es,you can lose a war in ONE turn, just my opinion though.

All search engines are crap btw.

Starcraft is pointless with Battle Net.

But it is the fastest RTS around.

Hi all,
I play RTS games, but I also enjoy a go at Civilisation from time to time as well as Half Life or Deus Ex.
I like,
Red Alert II/Yuri's Revenge [though not currently installed or playing it as I have played it to death]
Age of Empires II/Conquerors
Age of Mythology/Titans
American Conquest
Blitzkrieg [and variants Rolling Thunder and Burning Horizon]

My favourite is Blitzkrieg and I never seem to tire of it, also it is open source so there are lots of player community mods, maps, chapters and campaigns available, not to mention new skins and gameplay patches. It may be an old game now but it still has a solid following and as you don't have to worry about resource collection [just logistics] you can concentrate on military strategy and get on with the business [so to speak].
I used to play on-line but I find all the rude and obnoxious people a drag so now I just play single player.
