Posting the same material in more than one thread, or making duplicate threads in multiple forums. There's some debate as to what exactly crosses the line, but that's a general description. Quoting someone from one thread to another is also sometimes considered to be cross posting, but IMO than can sometimes be appropriate.

Everyone here cross posts, from Gods to politicians and other more general issues. What I don't understand is why there is some kind of rule to stop it, when something so mundane and ordinary or doubtless crucial to have some kind of backing gets cross channelled or wired up in another way, to suggest you've altered reasoning elsewhere or have under estimated the level of response you get?

What cloudfare doesn't do in my view, is stop threads from being attacked by people who have solid opinions or bad ideas from escalating into chaos.
It should also clear up editing times and other things like common words being used in irony or general again and again if someone isn't in tune to the same idea, but it shouldn't be punishing them.
I think we need motivators on the forum to create the vibes and cloud fare to rewire its overall security.

I used to think cross posting was posting when you were angry, and that definitely shouldn't be allowed! :P
