So I tried to add a reply to the D.B. Cooper thread and what I get is a captcha that upon completion leads me to a blank reply page. When I add the reply it does the same thing and takes away the reply while giving me a blank page. So far this has only happened at the DB Cooper thread. Maybe D.B. is out there and doesn't want us to discuss him?

Click "yes" you are not a robot, then click back on your browser, submit your post again, do the captcha a second time and it will post without deletng your post. It would be nice if the admin could fix that part of the captcha but clearly that doesn't seem to be happening.

Okay, thanks! I'll try it and will edit this to let you know if it worked.

edit: It works now without doing anything special. But I had to hunt for the thread itself, it wasn't displaying on the main page. I found it by clicking on the show more at the bottom of the list page. Now the thread is showing up again on the main page. Why? Who knows?

The CAPTCHA BS has been going on forever, and the forum owner knows about the problem and doesn't give a f**k. The other day it took me over two hours of matching dumb pictures to finally be able to make one post. Each time I successfully matched the pictures, it just booted me back to start my post over again. :x

Nice way to treat users on an autism site.

Unfortunately the mods don't have the tools to do anything about captcha and have the same problem at times.

The owner has been aware of this but hasn't done anything to fix the issue as yet.

Various other websites use a captcha system too but these work fine! Don't know why WP's is so thorny.

Well, maybe the site wanted to give you a second chance to overthink your post, since Hillary or Trump being Cooper is preposterous haha...

lol, anyway I always copy to clipboard a msg before posting so it doesn't happen. I don't blame Alex tho, he doesn't owe us anything and if someone wants he can always quit using the site. I do hope it gets worked out, I miss everything about the old site...

As I posted earlier today, you need to follow the directions I posted in the other thread in order to fix this issue.

All the Captcha challenges was one of the main reasons I left the site a few years ago. If they crop up again its asta-la-vista baby again. Life's too short to put up with that crap. It is simply down to poor site design. A simple thing to do would be to disable captchas for all members with more than say 100 posts. That would eliminate 99.99% of all spammers without pissing off regular members.
