Can't play YouTube videos in posts on my phone

I wasn't sure where to put this, but figured it was kind of a random question.

I am using my phone and when someone posts a YouTube video that shows up as a box with a play button and I click it, it says "page not found" or something like that. If the video is posted as a link I can click on it and the video works, but it has never worked with the videos that are placed directly in the post. Does anyone know how to get the videos to work, or is it just that the videos can't play on android?

I've tried consulting the great Google but couldn't find the right keywords to get relevant results.

WP's Youtube support is reliant on Flash, which neither Android nor iOS support. If they switched to an HTML5-based embed system then it would work better.

The software WP runs on isn't very mobile friendly in general, and I would honestly be in favor of a dedicated mobile app for WP.
