Has anyone else had problems with being randomly logged out? It happened for a while, then it stopped, but now it seems to have started happening again.

It seems to be happaning to me after posts. Maybe a measure to prevent repeated spam posts?

I've been experiencing this bug recently this month. It never happened before then. I'll type a post, click "Submit", and somehow be logged out, and when I log back in, whatever I typed is gone.

It's not a measure to prevent spam. It sounds like a bug. What browser do you use? I literally never get logged out of WP unless I click log out. Although sometimes the article pages don't show me as logged in due to caching and some issues with the user bridge between the two platforms.

Yeah, browser cache, and being logged in on multiple devices might have something to do with it. I'm not a web developer, so I don't know exactly how all of that works. So far, I've experienced this logout issue with K-Meleon on Windows XP, Firefox on Windows XP, and Internet Explorer 11 on Windows Phone 8.1.

Yes this has been happening to me over and over, these past few days. Before that it happened a lot a very long while ago, but in between it never happened and I even forgot it had been a problem. It's happening again now.

I'm using Firefox latest version and Windows 8.suck -- oops 8.1

I have been getting this too, for the last couple of days. Chrome on Windows 10.

I was logged out repeatedly yesterday, but not today. This bug happens from time to time.
I use Windows 10 and Chrome.

Ooh, I used to have CCleaner years ago and a couple of computers ago; I'd forgotten how great that is. I will go download it again now. Thanks for reminding about that program.

About cache clearing -- I clear a lot but hasn't helped. I am getting a weird thing happen though -- When I go to the Firefox tab where I can clear my cache, where I used to be able to click "Clear" and it went straight to "0 bytes," lately it just clears 10 bytes at a time! And I have to click dozens of times. The field also won't let me just enter "0" and get it done in one go. It never used to do this.

Does clearing the cache and cookies fix the bug, at least temporarily?

I have this problem on Firefox but not on Chrome so that might be helpful in debugging I don't know.

Ubuntu + Firefox = Consistent Logout
Arch Linux + Chrome from AUR = Consistent log in
Virtual Windows 10 + Chrome = Pretty consistent log in

If someone wants me to test something on Ubuntu then you should know I am switching this computer to Arch Linux too in the near future.

What page are you using to login? The thing at the top or the forum generated login page that pops up when you try to make a post but aren't logged in? Are you checking the "stayed logged in" box?
