I agree with Quater (r sold separately). I find that putting in witty comments will dumb down trolls and flamers, but for spammers the best defense is none at all.

It didn't bother me although it was a let down. I was all excited when I saw for the first time ever on WP someone had PMed me only to have it be a spam.
