I tried to post a new thread in L&D, it says the server is read only or something? Is it just me?

Can you describe the error you got, did it say cloudflare anywhere?

I can post a new thread in various forums so yes, if you still can't then its only you or the site was temporarily down. Which happens a lot and doesn't surprise me.

It says
Quote:

You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 403

Could be a few issues... Normally This would be a server side issue, with permissions wrongly selected, ie should be set on linux as 755...As most people are able to create new threads and you seems to be able to do it now and again i would think it is more a localised issue (or possibly server was getting ddosed as you were trying to post?)..... Firstly try clearing your cookies and cache files ( depending on your selection ad plugins, this might also delete saved passwords, so just a heads up :) ) and also restart your modem as most ISP's work on a public and not private ip, therefor will rotate to a new ip address... If no luck let me know and will go through a few other possibilities :)

Also each member is designated certain permissions on the forum... these are however normally automated, however mistakes can happen and a box that should be checked may not be ( or unchecked) If after failed possibilities, maybe a MOD can check to make sure permissions to your account are correctly assigned :)

Thanks, will clear the cache etc., it's very odd as the error only comes up intermittently. Lucky I'm not too superstitious because I was trying to post for help about calling things off with a guy; it was like the internet was trying to stop me lol...

I tried to make a post on a thread and when I submitted it I got a "Sorry You Have Been Blocked" message from Cloudflare, apparently the contents of my post triggered this action? I didn't mention anything even remotely contentious, so what gives?

I found a way around it, by copying and then deleting the contents. Then I tried editing the post so that I could add the contents back in several segments. That seemed to work.

This is what I've been doing too, seems to work on and off. Very annoying though.

This is happening to me now too, but I can't figure out how to get past it. What Jute did isn't working for me.
