I'm somewhat curious about the show Star Trek, exploring it. Where do I start? I really don't want to spend the money buying a Star Trek Dvd, so I really just want to watch an episode online. But I have no idea really where to exactly start, the Star Trek from the '70's? That seems pretty boring, I want a lot of action and science/technology themes.

If you're starting as a beginner, I do think it's important to see some of the original series (called "ST TOS" by the in-crowd) because that establishes the basic structure, characters, organization, etc., that is followed throughout all the different series and movies. I'd track down a few of the best episodes in that series and watch them as a great way to start. I'd recommend:

The Ultimate Computer
Balance of Terror
Space Seed (basis for the later Khan movie)
The Changeling
The Galileo Seven
City on the Edge of Forever (probably the most famous episode; rather more drama than science per se, but built around a time travel paradox theme)

Welcome to a wonderful universe. :D

Every startrek "serial"(DS-9, voyager, ToS, Enterprise) is somewhat selfcontained, and can be watched in any order (even within a serial you can mix up the order, although there is a sequence in them).

I'd say that "Star trek: Enterprise" is a good start, as it takes place in the start of the universe, the first humans to go "out there", and it sets up a lot of the other races and techs.

If you want action and science/technology then Voyager is worth a look. You might find yourself wanting to put Neelix out of an airlock, but the rest of the crew are quite likeable and Voyager definitely had the best Borg stories.

I have become interested as well, I've been watching star trek next generation and yeah I really like it. I just don't see why I never watched it before.

I do believe this was the young James Tiberius Kirk.

12-year-old Leads Highway Patrol in Southern Montana Pursuit

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Authorities say a 12-year-old boy is in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase with a loaded gun in his vehicle in southern Montana. The Billings Gazette reports that the chase began in Billings on Tuesday after a trooper spotted a vehicle driving erratically.

Montana Highway Patrol Capt. Keith Edgell says authorities followed the boy on Interstate 90 until Laurel, where he drove on multiple streets to get away from officers.

Spike strips were deployed three times and the boy’s vehicle lost air in three tires before driving onto a dead-end road and getting stuck near an apartment building. Officers found a gun in the boy’s vehicle and took him into custody. Edgell says the vehicle belonged to the boy’s relative who didn’t know the car was missing.
