So, I kind of feel on my own here. I would describe myself as Wiccan. I don't believe in big anthropomorphic gods in the sky, but in a progressive force of nature (and that Wiccan deities are better presented as forces of nature) and that our souls are all tied to it, and that ultimately our corporeal forms aren't the limit of our being. I believe in magik and in utilising the metaphysical that is all around us, and am attuned in Reiki - I have seen what my hands can do when people are harmed and I make them better and am on my way to my Masterhood. I believe all of this for a reason... it isn't a religion - although it is a set of beliefs - however it is all scientifically sound. All of it has theory to it and at the end of my philosophy degree I will be writing about all of it.

I'd appreciate any mods not moving this as I feel it doesn't very well go in the philosophy and religion section as I am not discussing its merits, just whether there are other aspies that believe the same things.

So... anyone else have these core beliefs?

Whiteskunk is a member here who claims to be a Wiccan. There was another guy who was a rightwing extremist who claimed to be a Wiccan but I'm fairly certain he was just a troll.

Yes, I am Wiccan, however, where I live it is not practiced by anyone that I can find so I'm on my own. :(

I am very fortunate. The South West of England where I live appears to be the most densely populated are in the world as far as Wiccan-like beliefs go. Given the area's history, it's not surprising.

Anyone else? What do you get up to blessedmom?

I am Wiccan/Pagan although solitary. I live int a heavily christian area and of course, being a possible aspie I am not exactly drawn to a more social pagan scene (such as a coven). Blessed be! :)

with the exception of Reiki (I know of it but have not studied it in any detail) I am right there with you on your core of beliefs. I don't really see it as a religion either (I'm not worshiping anything), just believe in the healing power of nature and the spiritualistic side of it, etc. I've read some of the books by Silver Ravenwolf (among others) but I would be a minority as both a solo practitioner and a male.

I really consider myself a zen wicca, if that makes any sense to anyone.

I can't speak for this specific example, but I know of a conservative blogger who is, if not a Wiccan specifically, then a Pagan.

I have my own religion based upon a plaster statue that sits on a shrine in my room.
That would make me Pagan...but not specificly wiccan

I love that word! +100 points.

And no, I'm not a Wiccan, nor are any of the few AS people I know in real life.

i explored wicca as my first means of removing myself from my family-implanted christian relegion...

i now realize i just don't have the gumption to make religion organized to any real degree... though i do adhere to a lot of the better instilled morals/lessons from religions...

wicca seems pretty cool and natural... a lot of good principles

I also 'explored' Wicca, along with a few other alternative religions. I'm very seriously agnostic these days, but do respect Wicca, and have pagan friends.

I was very interested in it for a LONG time, but it was more just an interest, almost like a study-I can't say I actually practiced any of it for real to any extent, but I did dabble in it, and was ALWAYS looking things up on it... my "BOS" looked more like a research project >.<

I've never been good at keeping on top of any one religion, but I do find great morals in all of them-things I don't mind living by. As far as being devoted to anything imparticular, I've always failed at it-I get too interested in others' views of things and tend to look too far into it.
