I don't think Vista accurately measures your system's perfomance. Why? Because today I've installed Vista on my PC, and even though it got a score of 2.9 in the graphics section (not the overall score), it can easily play demanding games like Supreme Commander. My laptop doesn't perform well when I try to play the same games (it's onboard after all...), but oddly enough has a score of 3.4 in the graphics area.

Stranger still, the overall score of the PC is lower than my laptop... but maybe that's because of the laptops dual-core CPU or something, I'm not sure.

Overall score:

PC = 3.2
Laptop = 3.7

Heh, I actually like Vista, it runs fine on both my PC and Laptop.

Ah well, never trust the performance score...

Vista may put more importance on parts of your computer that may not be as important while playing games.

That's the truth.

Vista's performance guide is inaccurate to say the least, especially where 3D games are concerned.

Really need 2 gigs to run well... I don't mind it on my new lappy, but I'd NEVER upgrade my old desktop...

Vista doesn't like to network with XP either! :?
