Long story short: I went in for an autism diagnosis and they spent 8 hours doing literally meaningless tests like ones to check my reflexes, then talked to my parents for three minutes and concluded I didn't have any form of autism because I'm AFAB and I can go shopping. This is... ridiculous? My therapist has agreed with my psychiatrist that I have ASD. Can my psychiatrist diagnose me? I will include a list of my symptoms down below. All of these have been existing since I was a baby. Is it worth going to another 'specialist?' or can my psychiatrist diagnose me with ASD? Please help me out!
