This sucks I accidently forgot to submit my dorm info and now I dont know how Ill get a reasonably desirable one. I hate living in dorms to begin with and only the crappy party dorm hall still has vaccancies for males (and I really dont f***ing want to live there.) Maybe once I get to college I might be able to switch (transfers and exchange students sometimes get rooms or maybe someone will find there noncompatable with their roommate....) although Im probably just dreaming. I could live at my dads house in the next town over but then I would have to A) drive to school and B) live with them which is hard after not doing it ever (I spent every weekend there last year and almost no time there all the years before that. Granted I have to get used to it soon because Im supposed to spend the next two monthes there but thats an entirely differnt rant.) Man cant I just go back to high school.

talk to the office of disabilities at your college and tell them that you have aspergers and you need special rooming accomodations.

I agree 110% with Alex.

If nothing else, it will get you to the top of the waiting list for an opening.

No DX makes that kindof hard and even if they do theres only 1400 kids chances of a single opening up any time soon are slim to none.

No dx does make it difficult.

Did you have an IEP in high school? That can be used to qualify you.

As to the only 1400, well, you might be pleasently surprised.

Also did I mention that theres not enough rooms to begin with (last year I was with 3 people in a double half the year.) I dont like my school they make everyone stay on campus then they dont have enough rooms (granted I got a slight discount for that but they still make so much money off of it.)

Good luck to you. Hopefully they can give you a private dorm.

I agree with Alex. I think you should talk to either someone in the Disabilities Office or the Mental Health Center and say that you have special needs. Especially emphasize your sensitivity to noise, lots of activity, etc. Hope it all works out.

I agree with what Alex and a few others commented... go contact the Disability Services department somehow and see if they'll be willing to help. Even if you don't have an official diagnosis, just explaining some of the problems you have with a typical dorm arrangement might make them a bit more sympathetic to your cause...
