TENS of thousands of protesters took to the the streets in the US for the second Women’s March, denouncing US President Donald Trump’s views on immigration, abortion, LGBT rights and women’s rights.

The coordinated rallies in Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and about 250 other cities are a reprise of the mass protests that marked the beginning of Trump’s presidency one year ago.

Donald Trump has responded to the protests with the following tweet
a “perfect day” for women to march to celebrate the “economic success and wealth creation” “Get out there now to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic success and wealth creation that has taken place over the last 12 months. Lowest female unemployment in 18 years!”

Either he really is oblivious to people's hatred of him or he is trying to practice having a sense of humor?

The carnival barker with comb over hair
six feet one and no height to spare
talking his grandiose ego up
you get more sense from a buttercup
the greatest this and the greatest that
inflated with self importance like a balloon
sad rants from a delusional buffoon?

1984 stuff....again.

Manipulating language for the purpose of extolling himself: Big Brother.

Clever poem, by the way....and in meter!

Keep starting the anti-Trump threads. To me each one is like opening a present on Christmas morning.

i'm taking it at face value and i don't know the exact details behind the "economic success and wealth creation" he's talking about.

is it a case of those just being true for the fat cats in the top 1%? bragging about himself?

feel free to educate me if you think you know better, because i'm not seeing it all.

Lets put it this way. If women were protesting about sexual harassment against Harvey Weinstein and he tweeted "gee it's great to see women celebrating the US movie industry and what a great 30 yrs it's been and not to mention what a great contribution I've made" ! ! then its fairly obvious what would be said...

BTW Trump is taking credit for the US economy is a little rich since whatever benefits are downstream from Obama's economic policies

oh. that makes sense.

i guess he should wait a bit longer to see what the fruits of the GOP's actual economic policies would be then. before taking credit for anything.

I'm pretty sure he intended to be a complete troll to the marchers. I don't think he's truly that oblivious nor actually thinks they're marching for any of the things he tweeted about. He knows full well they're protesting against him. His tweet was intended to get under their skin and piss them off. Kinda funny that it's likely to just strengthen their resolve to protest against him, as well as seek political offices etc.

This is the single best photo I've seen from today's marches:

Same with a bunch of the rest of them, too. Various politicians, administration members past and present, others related to this whole mess. It's amazing to see how their ways of governing are being met by such resistance. This whole mess just might make for a stronger, better, USA in the end as it's shining a spotlight on all sorts of flaws and people are taking iniative to fix them.

Not to worry. People will forget all about this in a day or two when they get furious over a new tweet or alleged oval office comment or whatever. President Trump, always keeping it fresh.
