Why does random pop-up appears sometimes?

sometimes, when I open wrongplanet.net, there is a pop-up that leads to a 404. It's always the same pop-up.

I have no viruses or weird add-ons (actually no add-ons at all) on my firefox and I use linux anyways so it's very unlikely that it's my PC's fault or malware.
Also, I can remember that the same pop-up opens on my windows 10 machine.

this is the url of the pop-up, which leads absolutely nowhere.
I have no problem with pop-ups that actually lead somewhere. but this one is annoying.

Yeah I think it's a remnant of old Malware that WP was infected with; it's harmless as my Anti-virus and Malwarebytes both haven't gone off whatsoever but I do agree that it's annoying; only ever pops up when I come to the forums whenever I close the site completely after a while

Chrome blocks it but it still happens every time I open wrong planet in chrome.
