One late night a few weeks ago, I was playing F-Zero X on N64, and suddenly had an idea for a new racing game. It would be faster than F-Zero. Faster than Ballistic. Faster than 5 times the speed of sound. It would be called JET, and it would be the first racing game in history to reach hypersonic velocities. Tracks would range from twisting, reflex-testing circuits to a straight drag strip 150 miles long. No drifting, no skidding, just pure point-your-car-in-the-right-direction mechanics, making it a different kind of racing game altogether, where the challenge is not in your ability to make precision maneuvers, but in your ability to react to the track fast enough to avoid hitting the walls.
Only problem?
I’m not a game programmer. If I could get some help with that, the game, although unlikely, might be a possibility.
