forum log in asking for email

It seems the website wants my email to send to the admins of the forum to make sure I'm not a spammer. What's that about?

I was locked out most of the day yesterday due to this issue.

I have been locked out for a couple of days, but back in now. My guess is that the website is under spam attack

Is there any way an admin could post an explanation?

EDIT I have found a work-around for this, which I will post as a separate thread. But the work-around is, click on the link for the Members' Only forum. That will take you to a different log-in screen. I was able to log in with that screen with no problem.

I was kept out for part of today. The login from them the members section did not work yesterday

I think it means that Russia works in mysterious ways. This is the first time in two days that I've been able to log in.

The problem has returned. I am logged in here but I can not get in from my IPAD.
I clear my history when every so often and when people are going to be around. That logs me out.
