I've been officially diagnosed with Bipolar 1 with psychosis, General Anxiety Disorder and Borderline over and over again, but any possible autism I usually told I'm too "mild" for a dx or they are not sure, etc...

Anyway I feel that they are treating me as if I only have adult mental illness when in fact my symptoms were severe as a child.

Severe meltdowns, ADHD-like behavior, bad social skills to the point I had social skills therapy, etc...

I just moved back to extreme Southeast Michigan and I haven't picked a new psych doctor yet but I need to soon. Since my insurance changed to both Medicare and Medicaid I might have more options. University of Michigan said there is a two month wait.

I mean would it be worth going to a doc in a bigger city or would such a doc offer more answers? I mean I had another meltdown yesterday simply because I was tired and was checked out by doctors and they couldn't find anything wrong. The small town docs keep saying "you need DBT"

BTW and good docs Southeast Michigan or Ohio but please not Detroit, lol.
