I have decided to take it upon myself to ask the community what products or people you envy, and how this enviability can be reduced with better, rival products.

So I pose you this question:

What products or people do you envy?

I envy my laundry detergent. It smells of lavender. I use it to smell of lavender, too. ... If only I smelled of lavender without augmentation....

A human can envy another human. And a human can desire, or covet, or an inanimate manmade object ( ie a product), and a human can envy another human for owning a product that the first person doesn't have.

But a humans don't "envy" "products". At least they don't in normal word usage.

So I am not clear as to what you are asking.

You might wanna rephrase the question.

I envy women. We all know that society regards them as objects.

I speak almost in marketing terms, when I mean to say that products can generate envy, and so that the conjunction can be made in language towards "I envy product x of company x." (The conjunction of, one product is led by company, therefore company is in possession of product, therefore, it generates envy.)

However, thank you for pointing out the grammatical oddity. You are probably correct and accurate in your constructive criticism.

envy is found in status-showing (off) products
which can be in expensive and useless
or for the low-budget you can even have cheap and useless, then make it shortlived and requiring perpetual replacement, which is also a form of status

the cosmetical-medical-pharmaceutical-complex knows very well how to work this <because you're worth it>
