SSI for homeschooled kid with Autism

Hi Everyone - I recently had to withdraw my son with Autism from public school. He was recently mainstreamed and was having difficulties adjusting. Music, Cafeteria and GYM were hard for him to attend because of smells and noises. He no longer had his self contained classroom placement which he had from age 1 through age 10. Now I am homeschooling him in NC which is going well. My son receives speech therapy 2x(weekly)and OT 1x(weekly) private. We have medicaid which is covering the private therapies. We no longer use the IEP he was on at the public school since he is not enrolled. Now since my son homeschooled with this cause us too lose his SSI? He also just recently had another medical re-evaluation confirming his Autism diagnoses and recommends small class setting for him. He also has ADHD also. Since he is no longer enrolled at the local public school will this affect Medicaid and the SSI which helps me to care for him?

SSI is a federal program in the USA. For a minor child to qualify for SSI, his parents have to have an income under a certain limit, or the child lives in a group home.

If you are already getting SSI for him, that will not change based on where he goes to school or if he is home-schooled.
