Cold feeling in the back of my throat
I sometimes get this cold feeling in the back of my throat, as though I have an ice cube stuck there or something. It's not heartburn or GERD, because I do not experience any chest pain at all. It's just in the back of the throat. My chest and stomach feel fine during these episodes. It's a discomfort in the back of the throat but no pain anywhere.
But these occur at night, and it may go away when laying still for a while but as soon as I move or sit up, it comes back. It can make me feel a little nauseous, although not nauseous enough to feel unwell. It doesn't occur every night, and I figured it's not to do with what I eat because I had it the other night and I hadn't even eaten a meal that evening, just a light bowl of cereal.
I've tried drinking water to wash it down but that just made it feel worse when I laid down. It doesn't cause any other symptoms like difficulties swallowing, coughing or pain. But I do suffer with sinusitis. Could it be related to that?
