Just had outage of at least 1/2 hour

A number of outages today

Yep.....all we have on our minds is how much of a dolt Ezra is!! !! !

Another outage this evening.

Another VERY LONG outage early morning April 4th.

Yeah: by UK summer time WP was down before 7:30am, and not back up until now (1:00pm)
I’ve been checking back all morning and getting either “error:520” or “error:524” from Cloudflare Frankfurt.


(No worries for myself as a one off individual: I’ve occupied myself otherwise quite happily )

I had outage for most of yesterday

Makes me relieved as my model railway layout runs from a battery.

Power cuts... (You call them outages as you live in a foreign country) are a problem. We went for a couple of months without any house lighting about two years ago as something had eaten some of the wires.

Also, in the last house when we first moved there we went for a period of time without electricity, not that it was that noticeable here in the UK as the 1970's had frequent blackouts due to the frequent miners strikes and the occasional railway strike so the power stations could not get the coal to run them (Or the power station workers happened to be in the same unions so they went on strike as well!)
We hardly noticed as we didn't have electricity during the worst of it, but other told me that the electricity was on and off so much... Housewives tried their best to find the "pattern" of when the electricity would be on so they could wash and iron clothes as their irons and washing machines used electricity.

I think protecting freezers from defrosting is the main priority.

One thing that puzzles me. Industry takes more power then homes do. Then why with some of our industry closed due to the virus restrictions are we facing the possibility of power cuts? Unless everyone watches TV at the same time and they all put their little kettles on during the adverts, so if all the TV channels are staggered, it is problem solved! Is only because the adverts are on all at the same time that we get the issues.
