If the situation stabilises and when the time is right, I'll probably reapply for my old job picking organic veg in a team of workers mostly comprised of NTs, not something I would have considered doing until recently. That will mean having to brush up on my masking, hopefully, by then the "banter" will be more tolerable as NTs adjust to the new reality.
Oh yes, I mask...
But I have foud that when I am in a group (They usually call groups teams and use terms like "Team player") I find I work best being set to do a task on my own slightly away from the main group rather then being directly in the group. I am very good at working unsupervized as long as I understand the task involved and I am capeable of doing it on my own. I usually try to lift heavy things myself if I can rather then call for help. (Normally as I can be a less popular part of a group, I may find help is not available as others will try to distance themselves from me. But for me being a team player I can do but from a distance, where I am part of the group but specialize in my own thing within that group if that makes sense?
Example. If I was picking carrots in a field, and all were down one end of the field, I would start at the other end of the field with my own basket and I would probably pick almost as much as the main group! But, if I was in the main group, I would hardly pick a thing as I would be always trying to be out the way of the others and waiting for a gap to pick. The others would just automatically find spaces to pick without thinking).
