Ahhh that Park Ranger job I wanted... You could enter it as a Competitive or Non-competitive candidate... Ummmmmm.... For the Competitive one, it said I was eligible, but they only chose candidates with a Veterans Pretence because there were so many applicants... Darn... But the Non-competitive announcement hasn't updated yet, so I'm hoping and praying... But they will probably hire wounded veterans... But maybe I have a chance because they are looking for four people... :? :? :?

I contacted the hiring official and he said a bunch of people applied, including a bunch of veterans and they get priority over Schedule A... :( :( :(

Don't give up. The Federal hiring process is all about timing and luck. It is also slow. Keeping looking and applying. I was trying for one agency for nearly four years before I got an offer.
