On one of my job boards, I saw an advertisement for a grad program in Idaho that sounded really interesting at the University of Idaho... So I'm trying to apply... I already have one past boss of mine to write me a letter of recommendation...

I figure if I actually get a higher degree I'd be more likely to land a job???

I wish you luck. I went for a graduate degree and it did change my job prospects. For example, the Federal government uses the Pathways program to recruit grads up to two years out of a program. It can be a great way to get your foot in the door.
