Business etiquette testimonials?
Have you taken any courses or read books on business etiquette that you found improved your poise at work?
I am definitely in the market for something like a how to behave at work course given I am mostly consumed by how poorly I come across in my particular professional work environment.
I wouldn't even know where to begin though. How to address the big elephant in the room that I just feel incredibly uncomfortable... I feel uncomfortable not from a lack of self confidence just from a WIDE disconnect from the people around me. I have no idea how to engage with them in a way that doesn't make people snicker behind my back about how weird I am. My actual feelings for people like that are, yawn good god you're a basic specimen, but it isn't good professionally to be the weird one hence why I somewhat care and would want to improve others' perception of me. Anyone who knows me fairly well have given me the same advice over and over and over again which is more or less, the environment doesn't sound like a fit for you, just keep looking.
Has anyone heard of, used, or benefitted from something like a business coach who specifically works with people with HFA in terms of how to help them best blend in their environments and convey the right message about themselves within a professional context?
