Might finally get a new job

The library in the next town over has a position open now. I had sent in an application a month ago but I’ll have to send in another for some stupid reason. I just hope I can get hired so I no longer have to work at the terrible job I’ve been stuck with for so many years.

I hope it works out for you. I'm about to enter the job market as well. COVID cases spiking are causing another hiring freeze in my area...

Oh boy, hiring freezes are no fun.

I got an email back that my application was accepted and that I will be contacted later if they want to interview me.

I still haven’t gotten a call or email back. I don’t think I am going to get the job after all.

I hate my life.

They could be delaying the hiring / freezing the position until the Covid thing has passed its worst.

I didn’t even get an interview. Someone else got interviewed and was hired on the spot partly because he/she (wasn’t told the sex of the person) had an university level college degree but I only found this out through my older brother and sister in-law having contacts within the city hall.

Might as well just lock this thread.

I wish there were more libraries from which to choose in your area.

You’d think I would want to go back to college after this but I honestly do not. I am thinking of committing suicide instead.
