How is it that submarine seamen are considered the elite of any navy in the world that owns submarines? Even small countries like mine.?
Even small countries like mine, Poland.
Friends told me that submarines were there by their own choice, that even when Poland had conscription, which was abolished in 2009, technically speaking, any kind of Polish armed forces could take a given conscript into their ranks, except that conscripts who went to Polish Air Force or Polish Navy landed there for 36 months and those who went to the Land Forces only for 12 months
