I like the taste of it but it's too spicy for me.

Same here, but I'm not sure if it was hon-wasabi (real) or a substitute.

I occasionally eat sushi at a sushi bar in a neghbooring city, I enjoy wasabi and even would eat it by itself, liked the taste (a small amount)

Ya, i like taste stimulation too, I used to eat these salty things used to make gravey when nobody at my house was watching, wasabi is to hardcour for me to use it like that heh.

I went to TGI Friday's last night, and I had the fried green beans, and they came with a cucumber-wasabi dip.

I have never had real Japanese wasabi. I do eat the kind that is served with sushi here which is in fact horseradish based. I too like the dry wasabi peas, and even prefer the wasabi covered peanuts. The best wasabi peanuts come from the fresh market though emerald has put out some that are passable though they are mild and overall have less flavor compared to the fresh market ones.

I think wasabi is one of those things you have in very very small amounts.

Wasabi, coursely ground mustard seed and sweet japanese cooking wine (mirin) make an amazing marinade for tuna. It's best when the tuna is seared on the outside but raw inside. Yum.

I always thought wasabi was the fishes revenge on sushi eaters. :)

Seriously, it's way too hot for me but I've seen people eat the stuff like it's no different from aniseed or liquorice. I have no idea how.
