That's all I want to say really. I miss 20+ episode seasons of TV shows. Everything is 8 -12 episodes now apparently thanks to streaming. It's not enough.

In the UK, six episodes was pretty standard because shows tended to be written by a single writer, two at most. Then we got US tv where the 'writers room' system allowed for these epically long seasons. Now it's been taken away again.

Long series format was good in the television days, reliable weekly releases keep the viewers interest

I like the shorter seasons on streaming because it's easier to binge. Of course there are some shows I wish it was longer, but even in the old days each season had about 8-12 good epsidoes with the rest being taken up by fillers

You should watch The X-Files. The seasons are crazy long.

There was a writers' strike for most of last year.

Supernatural, 15 seasons, 22-23 episodes a season. Keeps me going.
