I envision a feline butt mounted on a shield.

She should have just taken away the glass if she didn't want the cat pushing it off the table.

We used to have a cat who knocked over water glasses and we always had to be careful not to leave them out. Of course with the abundance of ADHD in my family they got left out all the time.

Our current cat doesn't do that on purpose but she accidentally knocks over everything in her path.

^ We used to have a cat who would accidentally knock stuff over, we called him "the sure-footed cat". He was hilarious because he looked genuinely sorry for upsetting things.

Our current cat will gently walk around items. Our kitchen is in a C shape so he will walk all the way around not upsetting a thing.

^ I wonder if the cups were up the right way (not upside down), would the cats have done less damage because they would have put their feet inside the cups?

Lulu is adorable and quite feisty!

I don't think Claire minds destruction, but I'd also maybe worry about if their feet going inside the cups might risk injury.

Lulu's eight but he looks more like a kitten than real kittens. Like a cartoon kitten brought to life. I believe he might be the most charismatic lifeform ever on earth.

I was thinking more like a tendon injury, like if you got your foot stuck in a bucket while running.

Our cat would try drinking from cups if she can get to them. We keep cups & soda cans & such in places Gysspi cant access like right next to the TVs(we sit close) or on the counter by the wall(I eat while standing at home because it's easier to eat next to the microwave & cupboards, & Gypsi climbs on our table a lot so I'd have to wipe the table before eating there & I'm very lazy at home, plus pulling the chairs out might disturb our downstairs neighbor who has various mental & physical health issues)
