More litterboxes, more employee litterbox, get rid of blow dryers (loud), keep litterboxes in order

Move building to better location

Require Leadership to say "excuse me" instead of "huh" and "what". Require Leadership to take grammar and etiquette lessons. Require Leadership to have high school diplomas, at least

Write instructions on a paper in the locker room. No Grapevine or Telepathy communication

Metal detector

Stop hiring convicted felons

Lifting test

I think it would help if Home Depot paid a living wage.

training videos say that all the employees are required to help with loading. hold them accountable.

no more socializing between managers and employees. (i think that that leads to nepotism).

hold managers accountable for saying things like "i don't think that's 50#" (when the Litterbox clearly said 113#).

require Leadership to take critical thinking tests, and know how to write in complete sentences.

post signs for better "communication"

make expectations clear, in writing, and on the breakroom wall. not just verbally tell one servant and tell that servant to tell the other servants.

Agreed.

I'm not sure if these things apply to Home Depot since I never worked there but these seem to be common problems in retail
~Make schedules more consistent but also offer some flexibility if an employee needs or prefers.
~Allow part-time employees to become full-timers if they want, more so if they usually chose to work a bit of extra hours when allowed, especially if they're usually working overtime when the store allows.
~Do away with popularity contests like employee of the month. Instead of singling one employee out for an award, give all employees raises that reflect their work.
~Don't pull employees off what tasks their doing to do something right away that can wait a little bit. Instead tell empoyees what needs to be done & give them some leeway with how to fit it in when they get to better stopping points.
~Stores need to keep a bit of extra supplies & tools on hand so the employees have the right equipment to do their various tasks.

Sounds like Home Depot needs a general up grade ..but getting the management to see the advantages of all the things you wrote of : ? ? acting in a more communicate manner , common sense in employee relations . Might lead to less liability for the Home Depot et. al. ( less legal problems). Better employee relations over the long run.?

~Profit sharing so the employees are more motivated for the stores to do better.
~Hire more employees so the employees are not being overwhelmed by being expected to get an unreasonable amount of work done.
~Keep politics out. Stores should not endorse politicians or policies & not donate money to politicians or political groups.

video tape the "common" areas of the Litterbox

everyone seen doing something "good" gets the same reward (bravo, homer)

everyone seen doing something "bad" gets the same punishment (writeup)

no having sex with the boss

I hate BS like this, surveys and what not. I quit doing that stuff years ago, because it's meaningless and if someone thinks corporate gives a rats ass about what the workers think, I got ocean front property in North Dakota to sell you.

Get softer toilet paper in the litterboxes

End employee awards and contests

Give some warning before a company policy change'

Relatives should not be working together

Fire employees that abuse FMLA

make it so that servants could tattle on supervisors anonymously but still get to follow up on the case study.

nobody allowed to socialize, much less have sex, with the boss.

hold supervisors accountable for their actions and statements. up to and including termination.

I agree with most of your proposals but I am unsure about the requirement to have mice in the lockers.
